Closely inspect the wire take-out to the fuel rail in-line connector on the Powertrain wiring harness. The harness may have been moved during previous service actions. This wire take-out is clipped to the engine driver's side spark plug cable spreader bracket located between the Powertrain wiring harness and the 3.3/3/8L engine. A misrouted harness could make contact in this area and induce a misfire and/or MIL illumination. Affected area can occur 1 inch above the clip. Look for any witness marks on the inboard side of the wire take-out bundle's tape just above the clip. Repair any damage. Follow the rework steps below. 1) Open hood 2) Locate wire harness clip in spark plug spreader bracket 3) Inspect harness above clip for any signs of damage 4) Repair harness as required 5) Grasp bracket in right hand 6) Bend bracket outward (toward driver's side) approximately 1 inch 7) Check for clearance between wire harness and engine 8) Close hood ______________________________________ Contact Us at CAGRIS@Chrysler.com for feedback related ONLY to this GPOP Tech Tip.
