2007 MY Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC), & EVIC w/UGDO (Universal Garage Door Opener) 2006 MY Compass Mini Trip Computer (CMTC), & CMTC w/UGDO DaimlerChrysler engineering would like to be notified if you have to change this part. This will assist in being able to root cause the issue and implement a correction. If the Instrument Cluster's software is re-flashed, sometimes the ambient temperature display may indicate -40 degrees. To resolve this condition, please drive the vehicle for a few minutes at a minimum speed of 25 mph. If the MPG is reset the initial value will go away and reset returning the previous value. For example, if the display is indication 18 mpg and the reset button is pushed, the display will go away, reset and return the previous value. If equipped with a Hands-Free communications module, changing the language in the Hands-Free module only changes that module. The language in the EVIC module can only be changed using the EVIC module, The Hands-Free module can't change the language in the EVIC and the EVIC module can't change the language in the Hands-Free module. The two modules work independently. Note: CMTC trip odometer will only count up to approximately 6,000 miles before needing to be reset. This is due to memory limitations. Do not replace the module. Please contact: Ron Jawernycky (313) 493-2861 or Dave Diovardi (313) 493-2784. ______________________________________ Contact Us at CAGRIS@Chrysler.com for feedback related ONLY to this GPOP Tech Tip.
